Cipher-418: The Eleven Best Discoveries

The cipher of Liber AL vel Legis (II:76) has resisted decryption for over a century. Using a derived English Qabalah system called Solution 34, we have catalogued 119 equations, ten independent pathways to the number 418 (ABRAHADABRA), and statistical validation that survives 200,000 Monte Carlo trials. Here are the eleven most significant discoveries — presented with the data.

1. III:47 — The Cipher’s Self-Portrait

“…no Beast shall divine. Let him not seek to try: but one cometh after him… who shall discover the Key of it all.”

The verse that prohibits the Beast (Crowley) from solving the cipher is itself the most densely encoded passage in the entire Book. Under Solution 34:

• THERION (the Beast’s Greek name) = ALGMOR (the cipher’s center letter group) = 348

III:73: “Paste the sheets from right to left and from top to bottom: then behold!”

The 66 manuscript pages of Liber AL form an 11-row triangle, because T(11) = 11×12/2 = 66. Each row maps to a letter of ABRAHADABRA. Every complete diagonal from apex to base spells the Word = 418.

The structural facts are remarkable:

• Right edge (triangular numbers) sums to 220 = total verses = sub figura CCXX
• P28 on the right edge = HADIT = 28
• P42 (cipher verse II:76) hidden off-center in Row 8 (B = House)
• P60 (key verse III:47) at the exact center of the base row (A = Spirit)
• |P60 − P42| = 18 = cipher letter count
• Walking from P60 by the cipher’s own numbers produces 611 = TORAH = 13 × 47

3. Ten Pathways to ABRAHADABRA

Ten independent routes to the number 418 have been found across five different subsystems of John Dee’s Enochian architecture. All involve named entities — not random row sums.

The Water × Fire elemental axis dominates: GAIOL (Water Secret Name) + X (Fire/Shin) = 118 + 300 = 418. Three Seniors reach 418 by adding a single sacred value (+A, +S, +YHVH). Two pathways cross the Sigillum-Watchtower boundary.

4. The 11-Principle (Solution 34)

The English Qabalah system that makes everything work. It assigns numerical values to the 26 English letters such that four constraints hold: AL=31, THELEMA=93, AGAPE=93, ABRAHADABRA=418. Solution 34 is the unique mapping where all three layers of the cipher are divisible by 11:

HADIT = H(6)+A(1)+D(3)+I(10)+T(8) = 28 = the cipher’s element count (9 numbers + 18 letters + 1 operator X). The god’s name IS the cipher’s self-count.

5. Dee’s 7×7 Grid: THELEMA Encoded 400 Years Ago

John Dee’s Planetary Square (1582) — a 7×7 grid of angel names received through scrying — contains Column 1 = 93 = THELEMA. Monte Carlo p-value: 0.0018. The column passes through all seven planetary rows. The diagonal emerging from the THELEMA column = AZDOBNI = 143 = 11×13 = the cipher number sum. The Law generates the cipher.

ABRAHADABRA(418) + X(300) = 718. The Word of the Aeon extended by the singular Fire letter. X = Shin = 300 in both Enochian and Hebrew — the same Fire that completes GAIOL(Water) to 418 also completes the stele’s name to 718.

7. X — The Void Letter of Fire

Enochian Pal (X) and Hebrew Shin are mirror orphans: both equal 300, each without counterpart in the other system. X has no zodiac, no planet, no element, no Tarot — it is pure number. Shin IS Fire, the Mother Letter, the Aeon.

Across Dee’s seven Ensigns of Creation, 150 instances of lowercase ‘b’ were misidentified as the digit ‘6’ since the 1960s. Dee’s own words confirm the distinction: “three great BBB” (not 666), and his marginal note “the two bees, the 4 and the 6” treats them as separate.

9. The Self-Generating Number Chain

The cipher’s numbers form an ouroboros — each group generates the next:

11. New Discoveries: LOVE + WILL = 2 × THELEMA

A fresh pass through every verse of Liber AL yielded 15 new equations. The strongest:

• LOVE + WILL = 186 = 2 × 93 = 2 × THELEMA — “Love is the law, love under will”
• FIRE + WATER = 513 = EXPOUND — the one permitted mode of engaging the cipher = the elemental axis on which the cipher operates (GAIOL=Water + X=Fire = 418)

The Architecture
